Brown is Powin's President. Geoff has over fifteen years of commercial and technical experience in the wind, solar and energy storage industry. During his tenure, Powin has deployed over 500 MWh of battery storage systems with an additional 800 MWh currently under construction. Powin has been awarded an additional 4.5 GWh of projects to be deployed through 2023. To fuel this growth, in 2021 Powin finalized an equity transaction involving significant capital investment from three key equity backers: Trilantic Capital Partners, Energy Impact Partners, and Arroyo Energy Group.He has been involved in renewable and energy storage sales efforts to utility and industrial customers across North America. From 2015 to January 2016, he was the Director of Business Development of Microgrid development for NRG Renew, Inc. From 2013 to 2014, he served as the Director of Business Development for energy storage system sales for Beacon Power, LLC. Geoff was Director of Renewable Energy Business Development for Element Power US, LLC from 2009 to 2013. Geoff Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Environment Engineering from Cornell University School of Engineering.
