Nick Azzolina

Biography: 

Dr. Nick Azzolina is the Assistant Director for Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where he performs data analyses and supports projects related to CO2 enhanced oil recovery, CO2 storage, unconventional oil and gas production, and chemical contamination of environmental media (soil, groundwater, and sediment). He also specializes in conducting life cycle and risk assessments for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects. Nick holds a B.A. degree in Geoscience from Princeton University, an M.S. degree in Hydrogeology from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Management and Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
