Mr. Roni has eleven years’ experience in GIS development, data collection, analysis, and geodatabase development. He has engaged in data management analysis using a range of different tools and software. He is the GIS Information Management Specialist in NRECA’s project with the Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO in Bangladesh.  He has led teams surveying all the distribution line in Uganda and has provided training to local staff in the development of GIS models. He participated as a rotating supervisor for mapping all the distribution line in Ethiopia. He led the preparation of GIS database development for 250 mini-grids in Kenya, as well as managing the digitization of all the rooftops in Kenya from satellite imagery and preparation of a national portfolio of rural distribution projects based on a novel clustering algorithm he helped develop. He oversaw field teams and prepared a GIS database for a national electrification strategy in Colombia and participated in the feasibility assessment through GIS analysis for electrification projects in eight regions of Tanzania. He has a degree in Masters of Science in GIS for Environment and Development, Jahangirnagar University, and another in Development Studies from East West University, Bangladesh and a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University, Bangladesh.
