Biography: 

Tore Amundsen, 66 is CEO of Gassnova SF and chairman of the CO2 Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM). Gassnova is an enterprise set up and owned by the Norwegian government to promote carbon capture and storage. TCM is the world’s most advanced arena for test and demonstration of carbon capture technologies in which the Norwegian government (Gassnova) holds a 75% stake. Tore Amundsen is a master of science in economics and business administration and has been involved in Norway’s energy industry for more than 35 years, both in Norway and abroad. He has held several senior management positions as well as been a non-executive director on a number of boards of directors. Tore Amundsen has also served as a member of the board of the Norwegian confederation of industries. Prior to his career in industry Tore served seven years in the Norwegian army as an officer in the corps of engineers.
